The Golden Sea and the Nation of Madness
Ahoy, Fellow Creatures!
It's been a long time and I apologize for that. Juggling two bambinos, writing, and working full-time has meant some things have fallen to the wayside, this blog being one of them. Nevertheless, I'm making a new effort to post more (yeah, yeah, I've said this before, but this time I'm serious!)
With that being said, a lot has happened since I last posted, mainly, I've released two new books in the world of Chilongua!
The first one is the conclusion to the Welkin Duology, The Nation of Madness. This will finish the story of Irtha and Soli and the rest of their ragtag crew as they head into the Deep, a swath of jungle where barely any man has touched and predators lurk around every corner.
The second one, and recently released this past Thursday, is The Golden Sea. The Golden Sea is a collection of nine short stories set in the same universe, including two novellas, and somewhat a tour of the strangeness that is Chilongua. Within its pages you'll learn about the fabled Golden Sea, a Welkin made ocean of quicksand, as well as a man who has dedicated his entire life to fighting jagralls. Who knows, perhaps you might even learn how Irtha's addiction came to be...
Both books were a ton of fun to write, albeit a bit dark, but I hope you will find the same enjoyment when reading them.
Lastly, I'm still chugging along on the first book in a duology set in Chilongua. It is tentatively called The Crumbling Kingdom, and follows the exploits of Ati "Wish" Bibango, the most renown jungle-diver in all of Fangmora, Chilongua's northernmost nation. The story itself is written, but now I am on the third round of edits, trying to polish it up and really make the thing kick. I expect/hope it should be released in the next three months. So stay tuned here for more updates and progress reports.
That's it for now. Until the next time (a time hopefully sooner rather than later)...
