A Quick Update!
Update time, Fellow Creatures.
I’ve been plugging away at it for a bit now, tarrying on a variety of projects, pushing things behind the scenes to what I would call success, though it’s hard to call it such without a physical copy to put in someone’s hand.
Yet, with each 1000 words down, or editing session complete, it feels like I’m making my way to a finish line where, at the end, it means some actual stories will get out there!
As of writing this post, I’m at 60k words in Scorn of the Scarred, book 4 of the Saga. My guess, this is about halfway done with the book, which means I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it looks glorious!
While finishing the first draft is just the first step before editing, getting it into beta’s hands, and really starting to get somewhere, it still will feel like a big milestone to get the major mass of words done for this series.
What then?
I’ve a few things working in the background that I’m not quite ready to talk about just yet. But what that hopefully means is that I’ll have a decent pipeline moving forward of fresh stories to get into your claws in no time.
Elsewhere, ahem… in Elsewhere, the household has been full of Fall activities. Apple picking, walks through the candies color forests, trying our damnedest to keep up with soccer and flag football. And oh, Halloween costumes. My kiddos decided on a grim reaper and creepy gingerbread cookie, respectively, marking the first year where they’ve decided to go as something scary as opposed to just a character (Waldo, Harry Potter, Sonic just to name a few prior choices) so make sure to lock up your doors and hide your candy if you see these two creatures coming by. They’re hungry for sugar and on the prowl.
Casco’s costume is still very much tbd. Though, I think the hairy beast is scary enough as is. As are my wife and I’s. Still trying to figure out what we can do, but all signs point to a wizard and a werewolf (two tried and true costumes we have tucked away.)
What about you, Fellow Creatures? Dressing up as anything good?
Alright, just a quick one today. As always, Casco and I appreciate you being in Elsewhere with us.
You’re all we could ever ask for!
Stay saucy,
-Jeff
