It is Done!

It is done, Fellow Creatures.

 

Draft 1 of book 4 of the Scarred World Saga, the final installment of the series, has been completed at just over 130k words.

 

Hot dang, it feels good to say that.

 

I’ve been working on this series for a better part of two years, with a good chunk of time in between, and yet here we are, at a milestone that more often than not fell out of reach.

 

Yet, here we are. At the beginning of the end.

 

I say the beginning of the end because there’s still plenty of editing that needs to happen with books 2-4, but writing “The End” to the series has helped a pantser (someone who doesn’t really plot) get a sense of the shape of the thing.

 

Now it’ll be some months of hammering and chiseling, trying to make the form of it more defined and resemble something of a coherent story.

 

As I’ve been saying all along, I don’t have a defined date yet when I’ll start pushing these bad Larrys out there, but I am continuing to make progress each day.

 

And when I have books 1-3 well-refined, that’ll be the time, with book 4 coming out a little later.

 

I am hopeful that by April, I’ll have a good understanding of my progress and start to narrow down a specific date when I’ll launch the free prequel story, the relaunch of book 1, and the release of books 2 and 3.
